Kenneth Chamlee is Emeritus Professor of English at Brevard College in North Carolina. His poems have appeared in The North Carolina Literary Review, Cold Mountain Review, Worcester Review, Naugatuck River Review, Weber: The Contemporary West, and many others, including several editions of Kakalak: An Anthology of Carolina Poets. He has published two award-winning chapbooks, Absolute Faith (ByLine Press) and Logic of the Lost (Longleaf Press). Ken holds a Ph.D. in English/Creative Writing from UNC-Greensboro and was the first director of the Looking Glass Rock Writers’ Conference (Brevard, NC). He teaches in the Great Smokies Writing Program of UNC-Asheville and has served as a Gilbert-Chappell Distinguished Poet with the North Carolina Poetry Society.
Ken enjoys visiting waterfalls and listening for owls when camping in the mountains of western North Carolina. He has lifelong interests in outdoor photography and landscape art and has written a poetic biography of painter Albert Bierstadt, The Best Material for the Artist in the World (Stephen F.
