“If I didn’t write, especially poetry, I’d probably be quite mute in five languages or, more likely, I’d implode. While my heart occasionally rummages in German, my mouth speaks Spanish, my spirit is playing in English, and I even have to look up the occasional French or Dutch word.”

A German-born UK national, Rose Mary Boehm lives and works in Lima, Peru. Author of two novels and Tangents, a full-length poetry collection published in the UK in 2010/2011, she has had work widely published in US poetry journals (online and print). She was three times winner of the now defunct Goodreads monthly competition and has twice been nominated for a Pushcart. Her latest five poetry collections: From the Ruhr to Somewhere Near Dresden 1939–1949: A Child’s Journey (Kelsay Books, 2016); Peru Blues or Lady Gaga Won’t Be Back (Kelsay Books, 2017); The Rain Girl (Chaffinch Press, Ireland, 2020); Do Oceans Have Underwater Borders? (Kelsay Books, 2022); Whistling in the Dark (Cyberwit 2022); and Saudade (Kelsay Books, 2022).
