Neil Carpathios was born and raised in Ohio. He attended the University of Iowa’s Writers Workshop where he received his M.F.A. degree, and since has authored six full-length poetry collections and various chapbooks. Most recent books include Confessions of a Captured Angel (Terrapin Books, 2016), Far Out Factoids (Future Cycle Press, 2017), and The Door on Every Tear (Wipf and Stock, 2020). He has taught at various universities and currently is Writer-in-Residence at Malone University in Canton, Ohio.
