Jillena Rose earned her MFA in poetry from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina in 2006. She is currently Assistant Professor of Creative Writing and Composition at Lake Superior State University in Michigan’s Spectacular Upper Peninsula. She is the non-fiction editor for the international journal Border Crossing and is currently a finalist for the title of Poet Laureate of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Jillena’s poems have appeared in Inch, Bijou Poetry Review, Third Wednesday, The Superior Poetry Café Anthology, Ted Kooser’s American Life in Poetry, and The Other Journal.
