Gary Grossman was born in Rochester, NY back in the last century, lived in both Southern and Northern California and currently resides in Athens, Georgia. Now retired, he was Professor of Animal Ecology at University of Georgia from 1981 to 2022. Gary authored or coauthored 150 scientific papers, which have been cited 9,000+ times. Gary’s poems have appeared or are forthcoming in 35 reviews, including Athens Parent Magazine, Verse-Virtual, Poetica, Feh, Poetry Life and Times, Your Daily Poem, Trouvaille Review, MacQueen’s Quinterly, Poetry Superhighway, Muddy River Poetry Review, The Knot, Delta Poetry Review, Pearl, Truck, and Last Stanza Poetry Review. Gary was both an essayist and columnist for American Angler Magazine from 2007 to 2019 until the zine folded. Short fiction may be found in MacQueen’s Quinterly and creative nonfiction in Tamarind Literary Magazine. Hobbies include running, music, fishing, gardening, and cooking.
