D. Walsh Gilbert is the author of three poetry collections: Ransom and imagine the small bones (both, Grayson Books) and Once the Earth had Two Moons (Cerasus Poetry).
A multiple Pushcart Prize nominee and winner of The Ekphrastic Review’s 2021 “Bird Watching” contest, her work has recently appeared in The Inflectionist Review, The Field Guide Poetry Magazine, The Lumiere Review, Black Fox Literary Magazine, and New Feathers Anthology 2022, among others.
She serves on the board of the nonprofit Riverwood Poetry Series and as co-editor of Connecticut River Review.
Mary, born in 1932 in New York City, is the author’s mother’s sister. They live near each other in Farmington, Connecticut where they enjoy sharing memories and stories.
