Catherine Cobb Morocco's poems are published or forthcoming in The Massachusetts Review, Prairie Schooner, Spoon River Poetry Review, Poet Lore, The Hamilton Stone Review, CALYX Journal, Sow's Ear Poetry Review, Naugatuck River Review, Salamander, Comstock Review, and in the collections, Island Voices 2, Unlocking the Poem (Riccio and Siegel) and Do Not Give Me Things Unbroken (Ayers et al). "Son's Story" in this volume won the first prize for poetry about the brain from the Dana Foundation. An early music group performed the poem in a coral setting. Currently, Catherine is working on a collection of poems about her South Dakota childhood.

Catherine is the author of two books for educators, Visionary Middle Schools (Teachers College Press) and Supported Adolescent Literacy (Jossey-Bass). She has worked nationally with teachers on using writing to develop adolescents' deep understanding of literature. She taught at Clark University and has a doctorate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Catherine lives in Newton Massachusetts.
