Jon Ballard’s poetry and fiction have appeared in over sixty journals since 2006, including Cimarron Review, New Plains Review, Flint Hills Review, Midwest Review, The Valparaiso Poetry Review, New Mexico Poetry Review, San Pedro River Review, Blue Earth Review, The MacGuffin, Boxcar Poetry Review, Connecticut River Review, and Broadsided. He is the author of five poetry chapbooks, as well as a novel, Year of the Poets (Loose Leaves Publishing, 2014), which Kirkus Reviews called a “highly readable, character-driven debut.” Jon currently lives with his family in southeast Michigan, where he works as an adjunct English instructor at Oakland Community College.
