Robert Edward Miss, a native of Frederick, Maryland, has pursued a career in media, philanthropy, and the arts. But his life’s passion has been poetry and storytelling. His first volume of poetry, Fever Dreams: A Selection of Poetry, is available on Amazon Kindle. His poetry has appeared in the Crosswinds Poetry Journal, Austin International Poetry Festival, Spirit of Woman in the Moon, Writing the Walls of the Hudson Valley MOCA, The Lamp, and America. He has received recognition from the Arvon International Poetry Award. Robert earned an AB degree from Fordham University in classics and philosophy and an MA from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Media and Communications. As a boy, Rob Miss fished on the Monocacy and Potomac rivers and roamed the Appalachian Mountains. Those early experiences are reflected in many of his poems. Rob volunteered for more than a decade at gallery265, an arts program featuring artists with disabilities. As a result, he created the Our Art Belongs! Inclusion Program and founded the Fund for Artists with Disabilities via New York Community Trust. www.robertedwardmiss.com
