Nancy Austin was born in Whitefish Bay, WI, but has lived on both coasts, and points in between. She holds a Master of Science in psychology, and for many years she ran a Community Support Program for individuals with mental illness.
Nancy retired early to move to the north woods near Minocqua, WI, a place she had visited as a child. Its forested geography and abundant lakes draw artists and writers to the area. Nancy relishes time to write in between operating an unofficial bed and breakfast on Bear Lake, where she melds with her blended family, salty second husband, and friends.
She has been published in various literary journals including Adanna, Midwestern Gothic, Sheepshead Review, Verse Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Poets’ Calendars.
