Dr. Michael Roberts is Professor of English, teaching college and university courses that include Introduction to Literature, Literary Criticism, US. Authors post-1865, and lectures that include Harlem Renaissance Poetry, Modernism, and Beat Poetry.
He has a Doctoral degree from N.C. State University, a M.A. from UNC Pembroke, and a B.A. from St. Andrews University. He has taught at the college level for over 20 years.
Scribbled Lines: Life in Pieces is his first full collection of poetry. He has published two chapbook collections entitled Random Roadside Cemetery and Daughters, Soulmates, and the Spirit in the Urn. He has also published research books and articles on education and curriculum development.
Dr. Roberts is the father of two daughters, Cayce and Kathryn, who he cites as the original inspirations for his creative writing.
He currently resides quietly on the Waccamaw River in Conway, SC, with his wife, Angela, and puppy, Sheldon, where he spends his time fishing, writing, and trying to keep death at bay.
