Mikel Vause holds a Ph.D. from Bowling Green University and is the author of numerous articles, poems, and short stories. He’s also published nine poetry collections with Kelsey Books and is author/editor of six books on mountaineering and environment and was editor of the Journal of the Utah Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters for over six years. His poem, “What said the Thunder” received a Pushcart Nomination in 2016. Over his 41 years as a university professor, he’s received a number of academic awards and is now a Brady Presidential Distinguished Professor, Emeritus Weber State University.
