Nature and its vagaries are a constant source of inspiration for Sally Cook, who is both a formalist poet and painter of Magic Realist paintings.
A five-time nominee for a Pushcart award, Cook has appeared in Blue Unicorn, Chronicles, First Things, The Formalist Portal, The Hypertexts, Light Quarterly, National Review, The Pennsylvania Review, Tower Journal, Trinacria, and other print and electronic journals. She has also published two collections of poetry, Measured by Song and Making Music, both of which appear on the internet. Cook has also been a featured poet at The Raintown Review.
A recipient of several awards from Alfred Dorn’s World Order of Narrative and Formalist Poets, in 2013 Cook was one of the two finalists for the Aldrich Press Poetry Book Award, judged by Marly Youmans.
