Joyce Meyers taught English for a number of years and then practiced law in Philadelphia for almost three decades, specializing in First Amendment law. Her poems have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including The Comstock Review, Atlanta Review, The Ledge, Iodine Poetry Journal, Slant, The Great American Poetry Show, and Common Ground Review. She has received several poetry prizes from Atlanta Review and The Ledge, including First Prize in the Atlanta Review 2014 International Poetry Competition, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She has published two chapbooks, Wild Mushrooms (Plan B Press, 2007) and Shapes of Love (Finishing Line Press, 2010). She lives in a suburb of Philadelphia.
