Susan Vespoli didn’t realize how much she would need the healing power of poetry back in 2008 when she sold her Montessori school to enroll in Antioch University’s MFA program. Writing poems, for Vespoli, has been a way to exorcise the darkness, lift it out of her body to make space for the light, which is everywhere, really, and shines on and on.
She is the author of three previous poetry collections: Blame It on the Serpent (Finishing Line Press), Cactus as Bad Boy (Kelsay Books), and One of Them Was Mine (Kelsay Books).
