Paula Friedman was born in Chicago but has spent most of her life living in various parts of California. She has worked as a freelance reviewer for many of the nation’s major newspapers, including The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Chicago Tribune, to name a few, as well as for literary reviews including The New Criterion and The Boston Literary Review. Her poems have appeared in Prairie Schooner, The Michigan Quarterly Review, The Southern Poetry Review and others. She teaches writing and literature at California College of the Arts and Saint Mary’s College in Moraga.
