Michele Bombardier is a Northwest poet whose work has appeared in many literary journals including Alaska Quarterly Review, Atlanta Review, Poetry International Online, Bellevue Literary Review, Floating Bridge, Artemis, The Examined Life Journal, and others. She earned her MFA in poetry at Pacific University and works as a speech language pathologist in her own clinic as a neurological and developmental specialist with stroke, autism and brain injury. She is the founder of Fishplate Poetry, offering retreats and workshops while raising money for humanitarian relief, specifically for Syria. She lives with her family on an island in Puget Sound surrounded by giant fir and cedar trees.
